Untitled (Epaulette) is a series of works that reconstructs the military epaulette, a symbol of rank and hierarchy.

The materials create a tension between decorative, soft surfaces and a sharp, standardised metal exterior. The pieces are partly made digitally and partly by hand.

They underline the power of symbols and the ways in which those symbols are historically connected with gender and identity.
