Untitled (Titanium) is an experimental work that combines the raw power of fire with titanium’s unique ability to produce vibrant blue and purple hues when heated. Mirroring the alchemical process of steel production, the artist employs fire to coax these colours from the metal through controlled burning. Custom stencils, cut with CNC precision, guide the flames to form a pattern that evoke the transient forms of flames, smoke, and exhaust, in a nod to the rebellious energy of street graffiti culture. This approach is both destructive and constructive, balancing control with unpredictability, as the fire’s organic effect unfolds against the titanium, revealing aesthetic potentialities rooted in strength and endurance, both fundamental to bodybuilding.
